Another Dynamics GP Tips & Tricks can be done by using the Advanced Lookups Setup window to create custom sorting options for the lookup windows that have advanced capabilities within GP 10.0. These custom lookups allow you to create sorting options in addition to the standard sort option within Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0.
- Setup Advanced Lookups
Tools > Setup > Company > Advanced Lookups
- Lookup by ‘Additional Sorts’ or ‘Custom Sort’
Search by Predefined Sorts and Custom Sorts
- Quick Locate
- Click Field Column Heading
- Type First Characters In Quick Locate Entry Field
- Advanced Search (binocular icon)
Select Column to Search
Select Appropriate Filter
Enter Value to Search For
- ‘View By’ Lookups
Select ‘Favorites’ to View Data Based on SmartList Favorite
- ‘View By’ Lookups
Select ‘Favorites’ to View Data Based on SmartList Favorite
