A (VAR) value-added reseller is a company that adds end-value to a customer’s purchase by doing things like integrating, training, customizing, advising, and more. A VAR can also serve as a point of contact for different IT providers, making it easier for businesses to buy and maintain a wide range of technology. VARs receive a discount from OEMs in exchange for facilitating product sales on behalf of the OEM by providing presales value to the end customer.
