TMC was proud to join forces with the rest of the Southern California Microsoft community for the 3rd Annual SoCal IAMCP Golf Tournament on September 14th, 2012. As does every IAMCP Golf Tournament, the main focus is to help support a charity. This year IAMCP and TMC helped raise money for Cure Search is a national non-profit foundation whose mission is to fund and support children’s cancer research and provide information and resources to all those affected by children’s cancer. CureSearch supports clinical trials research at more than 180 local hospitals across the United States. In the last 40 years, the overall survival rate for children’s cancer has increased from 10% to 78%. CureSearch’s and TMC’s goal is 100%.
IAMCP is the International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners. The IAMCP is a professional association organized in local chapters that is dedicated to assisting members in business development. The chapter activities are aimed at helping people and companies in the “Microsoft ecosystem” broaden their base of business opportunities within their own communities and around the world through partnering among IAMCP members. Business development and bottom line profit are IAMCP’s goals.
With multiple members of TMC being full-time members of the IAMCP community, the IAMCP Golf Tournament was another great way for TMC not only to network with fellow Microsoft Partners but also was a great way to give back to a great cause in Cure Search. TMC is heavily involved in supporting charities and volunteering themselves, but we also jump on the chance to join an organization that has set up a great cause. TMC had a great day at the IAMCP Golf Tournament with all their fellow Microsoft friends although it was 110 degrees out in Fullerton!!!
A quote from Ro Kolakowski, IAMCP-SoCal President, sums up the event by saying “We had our 3rd Annual Golf Tournament today and it was our biggest so far with over a hundred participants from over thirty different Microsoft Partner companies. Events like today’s are a testament to the success of our IAMCP SoCal Chapter and Microsoft P2P Partnering. I want to specifically thank the sponsors, the golf committee for putting everything together, and all the attendees for coming out and supporting a worthy cause in the CureSearch Foundation.”
