Two companies built on a shared belief in real expertise, honest guidance, and long-term partnership, PowerApps911 and TMC are a natural fit. The acquisition expands the TMC Global platform with certified professionals, more than 15,000 trained students, and two consecutive Inc. 5000 recognitions.
Technology Management Concepts (TMC) today announced the acquisition of PowerApps911, one of the fastest growing and most respected Power Platform practices in the Microsoft ecosystem, and the appointment of co-founder Shane Young as TMC’s first Chief AI Officer.
PowerApps911 was founded in 2018 with a simple but powerful idea: that organizations should have access to real Power Platform expertise; Not just when they’re implementing, but when they’re stuck, when they’re scaling, and when they’re trying to figure out what comes next. That idea turned into a company of 20+ certified professionals operating across six continents, a training platform that has reached more than 15,000 students globally, a YouTube channel with 27+ million views, and back-to-back appearances on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing companies.
It also turned into something harder to measure but more important: a community that trusts them. In a space full of vendors and platforms and partners competing for attention, PowerApps911 built something rare — a team people actually rely on.
That is exactly the kind of organization TMC has been building toward. And it is exactly why this feels less like an acquisition and more like a natural next step for both teams.
Two Teams. One Belief.
What makes this integration feel natural is not just what both organizations do — it is how they think about why they do it.
PowerApps911 started with a YouTube channel that was all about helping people learn how to be awesome with the Power Platform. No paywalls, no half solutions, and no shiny demos that couldn’t be used in production. Just solid skills that people could apply to their real solutions.
And that principal carried over to their consulting. Where their engagements also allow for people to be part of the build and learn along the way. Services range from mentoring packages all the way to full scale builds, all with experts, that want to help the customer learn.
TMC was built on a parallel belief: that clients deserve a partner who stays. Not one who implements and moves on, but one who grows with them, across every layer of their Microsoft environment, through every evolution of the platform, for as long as they need. A partner they will never outgrow.
Those two beliefs fit together. The respect for the person on the other side of the engagement. The commitment to showing up with real expertise, not just credentials. The understanding that trust is built over time and protected every day. These are not values you align on in a meeting — they are values you recognize when you see them in someone else.
When Jennifer Harris met Shane and Nicola Young, that recognition happened quickly.
“The Microsoft ecosystem is moving fast and clients need a partner who can move with it — across every layer, without asking them to start over. The addition of TMG gave us the ERP and CRM depth. PowerApps911 gives us the AI and Power Platform leadership. Shane and Nicola chose TMC because they believe in this vision as much as we do, and that alignment is everything. We are not assembling a portfolio of practices. We are building the Microsoft Partner of the future, and this is what that looks like.”

The PowerApps911 Team
PowerApps911 has never been a one-person show. Shane Young is the most visible face of the brand — a 20-year Microsoft MVP, one of the first designated specifically for Power Apps and Power Automate, and a practitioner whose YouTube channel became the go-to resource for millions of people learning the Power Platform. But the team behind him is what turned a YouTube following into a Inc. 5000 company.
Certified professionals and mentors who have coached more than 500 organizations one-on-one. Consultants who have delivered solutions on six continents. Trainers who have put more than 15,000 students through live, on-demand, and private programs spanning Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, Copilot Studio, Dataverse, Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft Fabric. A team that grew from a handful of people to 25-plus — and kept the culture intact through all of it.
What reviewers say about working at PowerApps911: “awesome leadership, always transparent, and treats employees and clients well.” What their training students say: that the learning sticks, that the instructors bring real-world experience into every session, and that walking out of a PowerApps911 course means walking back into work ready to build something.
That team — all of them — is now part of TMC.
Shane Young — Chief AI Officer
Shane Young has been a Microsoft MVP for 20 consecutive years and was one of the first MVPs designated specifically for Power Apps and Power Automate — a recognition Microsoft awards for sustained contributions to conferences, training, documentation, and the practitioner community. He has a direct working relationship with Microsoft’s Power Platform and Copilot product teams and a track record of knowing where the platform is heading before most of the market has caught up.
His YouTube channel has surpassed 27 million views and over ,000 subscribers — built entirely through independent content focused on helping people actually learn, not just watch. He has consulted on projects across six continents. He jokes that Antarctica is the only one left, and that if anyone knows an organization down there in need of a Power Platform solution, he would like an introduction.
He joins TMC as Chief AI Officer, where he will lead the company’s AI and Power Platform direction going forward.
“Nicola and I have spent twenty years building inside the Microsoft ecosystem, and in that time we’ve seen a lot of partners come and go. What has always mattered to the community — and to us — is trust. You either earn it over time or you don’t have it at all. When we met Jennifer, we saw an organization that had earned it, was building on it deliberately, and had a vision for what a Microsoft partner could actually be at its best in this AI era. After twenty years of building trust inside this community, I don’t put that behind something I don’t believe in completely. I believe in this completely.”
— Shane Young, Chief AI Officer, Technology Management Concepts
Nicola Young — President (Integration)
Nicola Young co-founded both PowerApps911 and Copilot911 alongside Shane and holds an executive MBA from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business. She has led technology practices through acquisition and growth before — and brings that experience directly to the integration of PowerApps911 into TMC. Nicola will serve as President for the first 90 days, leading the integration process, before transitioning into a leadership role focused on bringing TMC’s combined services to market.
What This Means for the Microsoft Ecosystem
TMC clients now have access to one of the most complete Microsoft practices in the channel. Dynamics 365 Business Central. Dynamics CRM. Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot Studio, Power Pages. Azure, Data, and AI. And now — a world-class training capability that can help their own teams grow into all of it.
No handoffs. No capability gaps. No moment where a client’s ambitions outpace what their partner can deliver.
This acquisition is the second in a series of deliberate moves. Earlier this year, TMC came together with The TM Group (TMG), combining more than 40 years of ERP and CRM expertise, 700 active clients, and over 2,000 implementations. PowerApps911 completes what TMC started — a partner with genuine depth across every layer of the Microsoft stack, led by people who have spent their careers building inside it.
Backed by Haven Capital Partners and built through two intentional acquisitions in under 120 days, TMC is moving at the pace the market demands — with the discipline the work requires.
