TL;DR
TMC attended Microsoft’s exclusive Biz Apps Partner Executive Summit 2025 in Bellevue to bring back real-time updates and priorities from Microsoft leadership. The focus of the event was clear: Microsoft is formally shifting to an AI Business Solutions model, with built-in AI agents now standard across Dynamics 365 and Business Central.
From pre-built AP and Sales agents to Microsoft’s Agent Proof Program, the platform is evolving fast. Microsoft also introduced a new term: frontier firms, referring to partners who are actively adopting AI in their operations and solutions. TMC is proud to be among that group, with both internal AI adoption and an AI-first client strategy already in motion.
What the Executive Summit Was About
The 2025 Biz Apps Partner Executive Summit was a private event held for a select group of Microsoft partners. The goal: to align the next 18 months of partner planning around Microsoft’s evolving product roadmap and partner expectations.
Microsoft announced a formal move to AI-first business applications, merging Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365 under a unified product and go-to-market strategy. This includes:
-
An AI-native architecture across the Microsoft stack
-
Built-in agents designed for specific business outcomes
-
Faster onboarding and deployment paths for clients
-
Emphasis on adoption, not just implementation
Key Messages from Microsoft Leadership
Satish Thomas: “There’s an agent for that.”
Satish Thomas, CVP of Business & Industry Solutions at Microsoft, explained that AI agents are becoming the new competitive differentiator, comparable to how mobile apps disrupted business in the early 2000s. He emphasized that:
“We are entering the era of ‘there’s an agent for that.’”
This signals a shift from tool-based decision-making to process automation embedded across the business right inside Dynamics 365.
Alexandre Pombo: Business Central’s “stunning growth”
Microsoft’s Global Sales Leader for Advanced Workloads, Alexandre Pombo, shared new data on platform momentum:
“The growth we’re seeing in Business Central is stunning.”
He also confirmed that Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain is now competing directly with SAP and Oracle at the enterprise level, especially as AI agents reduce the need for complex third-party architectures.
Microsoft’s Challenge to Partners: Become Frontier Firms
Throughout the summit, Microsoft urged partners to align with the future of AI, not as a feature, but as a foundation. The clear directive:
“If partners don’t become frontier firms, sooner or later they won’t be in business.”
Frontier partners are those who:
-
Use AI inside their own business
-
Build AI-first solutions for clients
-
Think beyond implementation toward long-term adoption and change
TMC is proud to already operate this way, both internally and in the way we deliver solutions to our clients.
Microsoft’s Key Announcements
1. AI Business Solutions Are Now Standard
Rather than AI being layered on top of applications, Microsoft is now embedding AI into the core of Dynamics 365, Business Central, and Power Platform. These “business solutions” are pre-built with automation agents that help users perform common tasks faster and with less manual effort.
Example: AI agents now exist for AP automation, sales lead qualification, service case resolution, and finance reconciliation directly within the Dynamics interface.
2. Frontier Partners Will Lead the Next Phase
Microsoft made it clear: partners must evolve their own operations to lead in this new phase. A “frontier firm” is one that actively uses AI in its business model, integrates AI into solutions for clients, and aligns closely with Microsoft’s product vision. TMC is already operating this way internally and externally, which is why our CEO was selected to begin the keynote on Day 2.
3. Built-In Agents Are Available Now
Microsoft launched a variety of intelligent agents across the stack, with more on the way:
-
Sales Agents for lead qualification and routing
-
Service Agents for case creation and knowledge base generation
-
Finance/AP Agents for invoice matching and approvals
-
Planning Agents for supply chain and resource planning
These agents use context-aware intelligence and are grounded in your own data through tools like Dataverse Search and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
4. Faster Time-to-Value with the “Agent Proof” Program
Microsoft also announced the Agent Proof Program, a 4-week program designed to help customers deploy 5 working agents rapidly.
It includes:
-
Guided onboarding
-
Prebuilt agent templates
-
Integration support
-
Adoption planning tools
The focus is speed, clarity, and immediate business impact.
5. AI Adoption Must Start Before the First Deployment
TMC CEO Jennifer Harris opened Day 2 of the summit alongside John Siefert to speak on what we call Phase Zero, the internal mindset and cultural foundation needed before AI tools are deployed. Jennifer emphasized that:
“Before AI can be a technological shift, it has to start as a psychological one.”
This was echoed throughout the event: Microsoft and its partners must support customers not just in turning agents on, but in aligning leadership, data, and decision-making processes before the rollout begins.
What This Means for TMC Clients
TMC attended the summit not to spectate, but to bring back the details that matter most to our clients. We’re actively applying what we learned to help you:

-
Get support from a partner already operating as a frontier firm
Whether you’re on Business Central, Dynamics 365, or considering a migration, the path forward is increasingly powered by AI that’s already built into the Microsoft tools you use.
