What is the Microsoft Women in Tech Community?
The Microsoft Women in Tech community (WIT), focuses on gender diversity and the benefit that it brings to the business community. WIT emphasizes that gender diversity “fuels better business, builds stronger relationships and increases profitability.” The WIT community itself is a networking group made up of business professionals who share these same values within the Microsoft Technology world. The WIT community is also able to provide members with benefits like:
- Collective support in setting and achieving goals both personally and professionally
- Works to bring in women to technology-focused careers and increase their retention in these positions
- Provides women in tech with opportunities to further their education and careers
The Microsoft WIT community hosts a variety of events like Goal Workshops, guest speakers, and networking events to help women further their growth within their profession. They also send out a newsletter to keep members informed of current news and events that they can attend.
