Technology Management Concepts will be holding their monthly volunteer event this Saturday, June 30th, 2012 at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. The LA Food Bank has been a charity TMC has kept close to their hearts over the past few years. The employees at TMC have many charities we are involved with but the LA Food Bank is one of our favorites because it helps the unfortunate that live here in our city of Los Angeles.
In 2011 the LA Food Bank distributed 60 million pounds of food to over one million individuals in Los Angeles County, but more resources are needed to meet the demand for food assistance. Food Bank’s distribution volume has increased by more than 70 percent over the past four years at the same time demand at our food pantry agency partner sites has risen by 73 percent. The LA Food Bank needs your help now more than ever.
