The Claiming Partner of Record (CPOR)

Understanding the Key Benefits of the CPOR

The Claiming Partner of Record (CPOR) is a model that allows Microsoft partners like us to associate ourselves with specific customer workloads or subscriptions. This association helps Microsoft recognize and reward partners who are actively helping customers achieve their business objectives and drive value in the cloud.

Key Benefits of CPOR

  1. Enhanced Support and Services
By associating with your workloads or subscriptions, we gain access to usage data and sold seats information. This enables us to provide more tailored recommendations and proactive support to help you maximize the value of your Microsoft investments.
  2. Transparency and Control
When we request a CPOR association, you are notified and have the option to opt out if you choose. This ensures that you have full control over the associations and can decide which partners you want to recognize as your Partner of Record.
  3. Incentives and Recognition
CPOR allows Microsoft to identify and reward partners who are effectively supporting their customers. This recognition can lead to additional resources and incentives that we can reinvest into providing even better services for you.

How Does CPOR Work?

  • Association Request: We submit a request to associate with your specific workloads or subscriptions.
  • Customer Notification: You receive a notification about the association request and have five business days to opt out if you do not wish to proceed.
  • Access to Data: Once the association is approved, we gain access to relevant usage data, which helps us provide better support and recommendations.
  • Ongoing Support: With this data, we can monitor your usage and offer insights to optimize your Microsoft services, ensuring you get the most out of your investment.
