Microsoft has announced price hikes for several Dynamics 365 applications, with increases predicted to be around ten to fifteen percent later this year. 

The changes will affect a wide array of Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, Field Service licenses, in addition to Finance, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, and Project Operations.

Pricing per user per month for 14 SaaS offerings will see an increase

Dynamics 365 on-premises Customer Engagement and Operations products will have an increase by the same percentage as the respective cloud versions.  

Business Central Pricing 

Microsoft’s SMB ERP offering, Dynamics 365 Business Central, will not change, however, there is a chance it will increase later down the road. Furthermore, prices for “subsequent qualifying Dynamics 365 apps”, like a license of Customer Service Enterprise for a user who already has Sales Enterprise, will remain unaffected by this update. 

The company assures that these price increase will not be accompanied with any changes to the Dynamics 365 Licensing Guide or any partner activities and incentives.  

Microsoft’s CVP Bryan Goode explained in a blog post that these price augmentations are a result of five years of consistent product updates and improvements.  

Dynamics 365 Advancements 

Since the last price revision, Dynamics 365 has revolutionized CRM and ERP with integrated applications for every business domain – spanning over marketing, sales, customer service and field service, finance, operations, and supply chain. Every year, Microsoft launches numerous new features and enhancements with an aim to streamline workload, save time, and promote smooth collaboration.  

Several of the existing prices for Dynamics 365 enterprise apps can be traced back to the changes announced in July 2019 and implemented in October 2019, which include Sales Enterprise, Customer Service Enterprise, Field Service, Supply Chain Management, and Finance.  

Microsoft’s Jared Spataro, the CVP for Modern Work and Business Applications, stated in March that despite these increases, Dynamics apps continue to be priced lower than some of their competitors.
