Government extends “Cash For QuickBooks” Program
Is your business still operating with clunker financial software like QuickBooks? If so, you will get another chance to trade in that old software for some new user friendly software from Microsoft.
Earlier today, in an effort to continue stimulating the sluggish economy, President Barack Obama signed a bill extending the “Cash For QuickBooks” program for another year.
The program allows for businesses that have outgrown QuickBooks to trade in their old QuickBooks software for new environmentally friendly Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) software.
“QuickBooks provides unacceptable delays in menus, reports and navigation,” said Obama. “The software sacrifices transaction history and master records to improve performance, but also does not allow enough users to access the system.”
The program has worked better than anyone could have predicted. Reports have shown an increasing amount of trade-ins for Dynamics GP (Great Plains).
Businesses have enjoyed Dynamics GP’s (Great Plains) Microsoft Office look and feel, its role-tailored home pages and its hundreds of standard reports and ad hoc query tools.
“Users are fearful of implementing a new system,” continued Obama. “Fear that change is expensive and time consuming. Worries about changing again in five years as well as converting their old data continues to make businesses hesitant. With programs like Microsoft Dynamics GP, those fears can be eliminated.”
