This past weekend, I made the drive up the 405, back home to Valencia. My mom put together a going away brunch for my sister, who will be leaving in a week to study abroad in France until early next year.

Earlier today, in an effort to continue stimulating the sluggish economy, President Barack Obama signed a bill extending the “Cash For QuickBooks” program for another year.
The program allows for businesses that have outgrown QuickBooks to trade in their old QuickBooks software for new environmentally friendly Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) software.
“QuickBooks provides unacceptable delays in menus, reports and navigation,” said Obama. “The software sacrifices transaction history and master records to improve performance, but also does not allow enough users to access the system.”
The program has worked better than anyone could have predicted. Reports have shown an increasing amount of trade-ins for Dynamics GP (Great Plains).
Businesses have enjoyed Dynamics GP’s (Great Plains) Microsoft Office look and feel, its role-tailored home pages and its hundreds of standard reports and ad hoc query tools.
“Users are fearful of implementing a new system,” continued Obama. “Fear that change is expensive and time consuming.
